LSTK is democratically run through a board which is elected each year at the annual meeting, which all members are strongly encouraged to attend. Since instruction staff is paid for their efforts, they are not eligible to sit on the board in functions other than advisory ones and have no voting rights. However, since these individuals are the most experienced and dedicated, they are all adjungated members of the board. They are responsible for keeping the board informed of ongoing activities and progress/challenges. They are also responsible for teaching new board members about important functions such as applications for subsidies, preferably in cooperation with retiring board members. So that all our members may gain a complete understanding of how the club operates and vote in an informed fashion, all board matters are communicated to our members on a regular basis (at least once per year, preferably once per month).
